1. VW Augmented Reality App.

Bring a car print ad to life with this VW iphone app. I like the concept of looking at a 3D model of the car to see what it’s like but I feel like an iPhone app is too much effort for a lot of people. An iAd would be more effective.

  2. Adidas Virtual Shoe Wall

A great example of retail digital integration, although costly so only big guns like adidas can pull this sort of thing off.

  3. Forever 21 Interactive Billboard

This is one of the first kind of interactive billboards, cool at the time but I think it could have been a lot more creative. The Lynx one in London’s Victoria station is still the winner in my books.

  4. Lynx Augmented Reality Billboard

Interactive billboards how I love thee! This campaign was done by Unilever for their Lynx excite body spray. They previously launched an iAd featuring “fallen angels” and this campaign was a build on from that. When people walked onto this spot in the station a virtual angel would fall down next to them and start walking around etc. Its funny to see people humping the air and what not and people get a real kick out of it. I’m loving the way Unilever is embracing digital, going beyond the standard social media stuff and merging digital with the real world.

About me

In a nutshell, this blog contains examples of awesome marketing. Clever uses of modern technology for the sake of selling something make my heart flutter. As you've gathered already, I'm a digital nut. I'm loving digital integration with traditional marketing mediums in the form of digital signage, augmented reality, mobile etc. But I'm still quite fond of the good ol' interweb.
